the great failure
Den Haag, the Netherlands

We suggest to speculate. Imagine. On one side - extreme cases of the residents. And architects with a given number and conditions of an average nuclear family on the other side. They build their perfect neighbourhoods. One model presents residents’ needs and financial resources – an image of the street of confrontations and negotiations. Another reflects ‘the greater’ masterplan where one person is just a number constituting a bigger plan. What happens when these two suddenly encounter?
This urban game tries to speculate and reveal how much we are inclined to adopt the system of the grid or maybe contrarily attempt to avoid it... An experiment to achieve perfection. With a bit of humour. Of course.
